Dog sledding is an experience not to be missed, and the sled dog adventures we offer represent some of the best around.  Both the mushers and the dogs are exprienced Iditarod racers, and together they will take you on a thrilling ride along tree-lined trails and through open pastures, all with a majestic mountain backdrop guaranteed to take your breath away.  The rush of being run through this amazing alpine territory by these beautiful Alaskan and Sibreian Huskies is an experience you will not soon forget - there truly is nothing that can rival the excitement and beauty of dog sled rides through such a stunning area!

This dog sledding adventure will last for about an hour.  The trip will be customized for you to ensure a lasting impression and an unforgettable hands-on experience where you can learn to mush!  A dog sled ride can be a romantic interlude or a wild family adventure - anything is possible on our Uinta mountain ranch.  Adults and children alike will love getting to know these friendly dogs, petting them and watching them play in their natural setting, and joining them while they do what they love to do – run!  Enjoy the excitement of being taken through a snowy mountain scene while resting assured you are safe behind this experienced team of dogs and musher.

Complimentary transportation from your hotel in Park City is available, so you can sit back and relax without having to worry about directions.  Dress warmly and don’t forget your camera – otherwise your friends will never believe you!

Dog Sledding Adventures


$350 per sled for a 1 hour adventure

$450 per sled for a Split Ride, which is two 30 minute rides


START TIMES: 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm

INCLUDES: Sleds, dogs, musher, hot chocolate, and snacks

TRANSPORTATION:  Complimentary Park City hotel pick-up and drop-off available.
Pick-up is one hour prior to trip start time.

Experience an outdoor adventure seldom offered in a mountain setting. These are authentic dog teams trained as racing teams. The dog teams and Mushers have experience with the Alaskan Iditarod.  Our private ranch setting in the Weber Canyon allows us to run this trip much later in the season than other outfitters in the area.

350 pound maximum weight limit per sled, which can include up to 2 adults and one small child.
*The Split Ride is a good option for groups who do not fit in one sled, but do not want to pay for two sleds.

Combination trips with snowmobiling and horse drawn sleigh rides with dinner are available.

Persons with disabilities: Possible for some with certain limitations. Call for details.

Is this suitable for young children?

Yes, as young as 3 years old.

What should I wear?

Warm winter ski type clothing or similar warm outerwear with a base layer, warm boots, gloves, and a hat that covers your ears.

What should I bring?

Consider hand and toe warmers and face protector, sunblock and sun glasses or goggles.

Can I bring a camera? Any special considerations?

Yes, and a waterproof disposable with flash is the safest choice but that decision is up to you.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, on all tours. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and their waiver must be signed by parent or legal guardian.

What else should I know?

Plan to arrive at the ranch 20 minutes before your schedule dog sledding trip.

Full restrooms, hot chocolate, snacks, and a comfortable waiting area with a fireplace are available in the main lodge.  

The Park City Shuttle ride is about 30 minutes each way but weather can be a consideration.

Weather conditions may be different from Park City, usually somewhat cooler due to the higher elevation.  

Weather cancellations are at the sole discression of the outfitter.
